A call to the county’s 911 center about a suspicious vehicle helped police thwart the theft of thousands of dollars worth of goods from a downtown business Monday morning. City Police Lt. Eric Heieck said police were alerted to a suspicious vehicle at the Geneva Lakefront Childcare Center at 10:19 a.m.
