Clyde woman had suboxone inside Wayne County Jail

A Clyde woman was arrested this week, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office following an investigation into prison contraband at the Wayne County Jail.

Deputies say Alexis Jones, 24, of Clyde was charged with promoting prison contraband in the first degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree after she was found to be in possession of a quantity of suboxone pills while committed to the Wayne County Jail.

Jones allegedly failed to report the pills to correction officers after being advised that she could not possess any contraband during the booking process.

She was arraigned in Lyons Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of bail.
