Deputies in Ontario County say that two Ontario County Jail inmates have been arrested on drug-related charges following an investigation into the sale of a controlled substance on April 27 inside the facility.
Kyle Neil Holmes, 28, of Palmyra was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fourth degree following an investigation into the sale of a controlled substance from his jail pod while incarcerated at the 3045 County Complex in the Town of Hopewell.
Deputies say Holmes sold suboxone he received from an inmate to another inmate from his pod. He remains in custody of the Ontario County Jail at this time on prearrangement detention. He will answer the charges at a later date.
Brian Glenn Lazzar, 37, of Lyons was arrested at the Ontario County Jail following an investigation into the criminal sale of a controlled substance. Deputies charged Lazzar with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fourth degree and promoting prison contraband in the first degree following an investigation into events that occurred on April 27.
Lazzar was found to be in possession of matches, marijuana, pills, suboxone, and was selling the suboxone to other inmates from his pod. He remains in the custody of the County and will answer the charges at a later date.
