On Tuesday, at approximately 5:48 pm members of the Seneca Falls and Waterloo Fire Departments were called to a field fire near River and Kingdom Roads.
When personnel reported to the scene first responders learned that the fire had started under a tractor that had broken down in the field. The fire spread into the straw, which caused the fire to spread a little more quickly with dry conditions.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly without any further action. No injuries were reported.
