Victim hospitalized after assault in Seneca Falls

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports that one arrest was made following an investigation into a physical altercation with two Town residents on July 19th at 2:47 am.

Aubri M. Covey, 24, of no permanent address was charged with assault in the second degree — a felony — assault in the third degree, two counts of obstructing governmental administration, harassment in the second degree and trespass following a physical altercation with two residents.

Covey is accused of using a metal pipe during the altercation causing head and back injury to one victim and a head injury to the second victim after trespassing on their property. After being taken into custody, Covey allegedly fought with arresting officers — threatening them with bodily harm.

Covey was arraigned in Waterloo Town Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 secured bond.

The Waterloo Police Department, New York State Police, as well as the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office all assisted during the incident. One of the victims was transported to Geneva General Hospital for treatment of head injuries.
