On Wednesday, a Trumansburg man was arrested following an investigation into a burglary, which took place in the Town of Covert.Deputies say at 11 am on Wednesday Robert M. Heroux, 41, of Trumansburg was charged with burglary in the third degree — a Class D felony, and petit larceny — a Class A misdemeanor.Investigators tell us that the charges stem from an incident where Heroux allegedly entered a business located in the Town of Covert — after regular business hours — and stole a quantity of money. While the exact amount stolen was not made public, deputies say he was arraigned in Covert Town Court after being taken into custody without incident.Heroux was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on no bail. He will answer the charges on July 25th at 9 am.
