The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that a two car collision on County Road 41 in the Town of Farmington resulted in a Farmington resident being ticketed.On Saturday, deputies responded to County Road 41 for the report of a personal injury crash in the Town of Farmington. Deputies say James Michels, 39, of Farmington was traveling westbound on County Road 41 when a vehicle stopped in traffic to make a left turn. That vehicle, which was being operated by Elizabeth Johnston, 42, of Canandaigua was struck after Michels was unable to stop or avoid her Hyundai Accent.Both were checked over at the scene of the accident. Johnston refused treatment after complaining of neck and back pain. Michels was issued a ticket for following too closely. He will appear in Farmington Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
