The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of the woman involved in the fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Hinman Road in the Town of Summerhill. Around 5:11 am a passerby reported the accident, which deputies believe was shortly after the crash occurred. Just one vehicle was involved, which was the motorcycle that was being operated by Susan I. Withers, 65, of Cortland. She was operating a 2007 Suzuki that was traveling south on Hinman Road in the Town of Summerhill when the bike struck a deer. The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by multiple agencies including Homer Fire Department and Four Town Ambulance.
