Hillside employee charged with attempted assault

A Seneca Falls resident was charged with multiple counts of harassment, attempted assault, and menacing after he allegedly mishandled two individuals, which he was charged with taking care of at the Hillside Children’s Center.The New York State Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs says that Peter Rokosz, of Seneca Falls was charged with two counts of attempted assault in the third degree, two counts of menacing in the third degree, and two counts of harassment in the second degree. The charges and press release from the Justice Center indicates that Rokosz wrapped his arm around one individual’s head and applied a significant amount of pressure — causing visible marks on the subject’s neck. Later that day, he then allegedly performed an act that the Center called an “inappropriate restraint,” which did not cause any serious injury.There were no serious injuries in this particular instance.
