The Seneca County Board of Supervisors awarded four students with the Brightest Star Award. The recognition went to two male and female sixth grade students in Seneca County who were nominated by school personnel, as well as other youth agencies. Students selected were nominated and chosen for consistently reflecting the 5 Points of Light. Those points involve academics, involvement in school or community activities, responsibility, respect and compassion.The Seneca County Youth Bureau, Youth Board, as well as the Seneca County Board of Supervisors recognized Maya Brinkman and Sydney Haust of Waterloo, as well as Joseph Borst of Ovid, and Ben Jessop of Fayette. The students are enrolled at Waterloo Middle School, South Seneca Middle School, and Romulus Middle School respectively.Watch the entire ceremony in the video window above.
