Three individuals were airlifted from serious car accidents over the weekend in Schuyler County. Deputies in Schuyler County say that Veronica Walmsley, 26, of Beaver Dams and Thomas Ladelia, 18, of Elmira, and an unnamed minor were flown to Robert Packer and Strong Memorial Hospital in unrelated accidents. Deputies say on Friday, at 11:02 am Veronica Walmsley, 26, of Beaver Dams was the passenger on a motorcycle operated by Kevin Swarthout, of Beaver Dams on Route 16 in the Town of Orange — when the bike veered into the guardrail — ejecting Walmsley from the bike. Swarthout was treated and released. Walmsey was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital where she is still being treated.In an accident at 2:38 pm on Saturday, in the Town of Tyrone — Thomas Ladelia, 18, of Elmira was operating a Jeep Wrangler northbound on West Lake Road when the vehicle left the roadway — striking an embankment and tree. Ladelia was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital, while his 16-year-old passenger was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital.Conditions of the individuals named have not been updated or released since the time of the press release.
