One woman was ejected from a motorcycle and is in critical condition at Upstate Medical Center after an accident at the intersection of State Route 96 and Brewer Road in the Town of Waterloo.Deputies responded to an accident with injuries at that intersection on Saturday, around 12:45 pm, which was reported as a three vehicle crash.Deputies say two vehicles operated by Robb S. Nadeau, 57, of Waterloo, and Sandra E. Ditch, 73, of Geneva — as well as a motorcycle operated by Michael A. Cotto, 49, of Seneca Falls were all traveling westbound on State Route 96. As the three approached the intersection of Brewer Road — Nadeau began to make a left turn onto Brewer Road. At that time Ditch slowed down and began to pass Nadeau on the right. At the same time, Cotto attempted to slow down but lost control of his motorcycle. The bike turned sideways and went into a slide. The passenger on the bike — Rhonda L. Cotto, 44, was ejected from the motorcycle as it began to slide across the roadway. The driver of the motorcycle remained on the bike as it slid across the intersection. He came to rest on the bike in the ditch on the north side of the intersection.Rhonda Cotto was treated at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance and flown to Upstate Medical Center by Life Net where she is listed in critical condition for possible neck and back injuries related to the crash.Michael Cotto, the driver of the motorcycle, was checked over at the scene by North Seneca. Both drivers of the cars were uninjured, and those vehicles sustained light damage from the accident. The motorcycle was towed from the scene. Waterloo and Border City Fire Departments assisted at the scene. The roadway was closed for approximately two hours as crews worked to reconstruct the scene.FingerLakes1.com has learned that a GoFundMe has been setup for Rhonda Cotto, who suffered extensive spinal cord damage in the accident.
