The Seneca Falls Police Department reports that on Sunday at approximately 2:00 pm a Seneca Falls man was injured in an accident involving a car and lawnmower on Fall Street.Officers say Charles Barbay, 58, of Seneca Falls was operating a Grashopper Lawnmower crossing southbound on Fall Street in the crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle being operated by Marcus Kellar, 27, of Geneva. Kellar was operating his vehicle westbound on Fall Street at the time of the accident. Barbay was transported by North Seneca Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital where he was treated for a fractured pelvis and released.Kellar refused transportation but complained of hip and leg pain. Both vehicles involved suffered extensive damage. They were towed from the scene. Kellar was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired by drugs, operating a motor vehicle while on a mobile phone, and failure to keep right. Kellar was released on traffic tickets and will appear in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
