The Seneca Falls Police Department announced on Thursday that a number of road closures would be in effect this weekend, as Canal Fest gets underway in the Town of Seneca Falls.The festivities will kick off on Friday, which means that the first closures will begin Friday morning at 9 am. Cowing Street will be closed and remain closed until the Sunday evening when the festival ends. No parking is allowed in the Cowing Street area either until after the event. On Friday at 3 pm the Bridge Street Bridge, Walnut Street Hill, Canal Street, and Center Street will be closed until midnight. On Saturday at 9 am the Bridge Street Bridge, Water Street, Walnut Street Hill, Canal Street and Center Street will all be closed until midnight. At approximately 11 am Lower Fall Street, Trinity Lane, and Bove Drive will all be closed until the end of the fireworks event.On Sunday at 9 am the Bridge Street Bridge, Water Street, Walnut Street Hill, Canal Street and Center Street will all be closed until approximately 9 pm.Use caution while traveling throughout Seneca Falls this weekend, as additional traffic will be seen throughout the Town.
