A Waterloo man was charged with illegally possessing firearms on Waterloo Geneva Road following an incident where shots were fired.Deputies arrested Michael P. Virgo, 37, of Waterloo and charged him with seven counts of criminal possession of a firearm in the fourth degree. The arrest stems from a call to 911 reporting a shot fired outside his home on Waterloo Geneva Road.He was taken into custody without incident, but after further investigation — deputies learned that Virgo had seven different long guns in his possession, which he was not legally allowed to have. Arraignment took place in Waterloo Village Court and he was released on his own recognizance. He will answer the charges on July 8th.
