A Palmyra man was charged with driving while intoxicated on Hook Road in Farmington after a single car crash.The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that around 12:20 am on Tuesday, deputies responded to a single car accident at the intersection of Hook Road and Farmington Road. As deputies investigated the scene, it was learned that Cory J. Hyde of Palmyra was operating his 2005 Chevy Malibu southwest on Farmington Road, when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with Hook Road — causing him to crash into a road sign and shrub fence.Hyde was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was charged with driving while intoxicated. He was also charged with failure to stop at a stop sign, and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle. He refused to consent to a chemical test and is being held pending arraignment.
