The Seneca County STOP-DWI Program has announced police agencies across Seneca County will participate in a special statewide enforcement effort to crack down on impaired driving throughout the Independence Day holiday weekend. In an ongoing collaborative effort the New York State Police, Seneca County Sheriff and all local Law Enforcement agencies will be out in force in this coordinated effort to aggressively target those who put lives in danger. The holiday enforcement period begins July 1 and ends on July 5th. The Fourth of July holiday is one of the deadliest on the highway. This is a preventable situation. Don’t let a memorable holiday weekend celebrating our nations independence turn into a tragic life changing event.
