On Wednesday the Penn Yan Police Department arrested Michael C. Kerfien, age 23 of Penn Yan, on a superior court warrant for criminal sale of a controlled substance in the 3rd and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd.Kerfien is accused of selling hydrocodone following a several month investigation into drug sales in the area. He was taken into custody at his residence and was arraigned in Yates County Court where he was remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.
