Ontario County pursuit ends in fatal crash

Deputies in Monroe County have released the identity of the pair involved in the high-speed pursuit that started in Farmington and ended on Route 490. A Canandaigua man was killed in the crash, as he was reportedly thrown from the Volkswagon Jetta that crashed on 490. Deputies say he was thrown approximately 150 feet from the vehicle, and was reportedly deceased at the scene. They identified him as Noah Marinelli, 33, of Canandaigua. Danielle Golding, 31, of Utica was also thrown from the vehicle during the crash. Her injuries were considered life threatening at the time — but her condition has been upgraded to “guarded.” Golding was flown via Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital where she was treated for her injuries. The pursuit started as a robbery investigation at the CVS in Farmington. Monroe County Sheriff’s were investigating the accident, while Ontario County Sheriff’s handled the investigation into the robbery and what would have caused the eventual pursuit. Two individuals were in the car during the pursuit, one of which was named as a fatality in the wreck. The other individual was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital via Mercy Flight.

According to police, the individual who was dead at the scene was ejected from the vehicle, while the other individual was partially out of the vehicle when it came to rest.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office said that at this time the investigation is ongoing and details are still being pieced together. The individual who was transported via Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital had suffered extensive injuries during the accident.
