The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Romulus woman is facing a felony DWI charge following an investigation into an accident, which damaged property.Deputies arrested Sherry L. Taranto, 52, of Romulus – charging her with felony driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated, and aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree. All charges against Taranto were felonies given her BAC registered above the threshold. Taranto was allegedly involved in a property damage motor vehicle accident on State Route 96A in the Town of Waterloo. Deputies say she lost control of her vehicle on the Route 96A ramp onto Route 5, coming to rest on 96A along a grass embankment.She was uninjured in the accident and was arraigned in Fayette Town Court. She was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail, or $20,000 insurance bond.Taranto will answer the charges at a later date.
