1st Annual Harry Liddell Duck Race at SF Canal Fest

The 1st Annual Harry Liddell Duck Race will be held at 4 pm on Sunday, July 10th at the Seneca Falls Canal Fest. Harry Liddell selflessly gave his time and energy to direct all efforts regarding past Canal Fests. In remembrance of Harry, the Seneca Falls Business Association which is the organizer of this revitalized Canal Fest thought it fitting to honor him in this small but significant way.Harry sadly passed away but his work in promoting the Canal Harbor & Fest will be honored by the many ducks racing down the course that he treasured. The ducks will be racing through the Canal Harbor from the bridge located at Bridge Street (AKA It’s a Wonderful Life Bridge ) towards the finish line at the Ovid Street Bridge. Over $2,500 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the winners.Proceeds for the Duck Race will be used by the SFBA to promote community events and enhance the downtown area’s economic development. Individual ducks can be adopted for $5 and can be purchased at the Canal Fest or at these locations in Seneca Falls: Downtown Deli, Blossoms by Cosentino, Cafe XIX, Ferrara Lumber, WomanMade Products, Sinicropi Florist, Community Bank, Summit Federal Credit Union, The Copy Shop, Seneca Falls Visitor Center, and the Hampton Inn as well as in Waterloo at Hair Trendz.
