On Monday a Lima man was involved in a motor vehicle accident, where he was also found to be operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state, according to deputies from Ontario County.Deputies report that Richmond Fire, Richmond Ambulance and Livonia Ambulance responded to Big Tree Road west of Cole Road for the report of a rollover motor vehicle accident. Tyler Rakestraw, 31, of Lima was traveling east on Big Tree Road when he lost control of his vehicle and it exited the roadway causing it to overturn. He sustained a minor cut to his knee and a contusion to his forehead, but refused to be transported by ambulance. He reported to be wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. A subsequent investigation revealed that Rakestraw was intoxicated at the time of the accident and was arrested for driving while intoxicated, according to deputies.He submitted to a chemical breath test and was issued traffic citations. He will appear in Richmond Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
