Waterloo man punched, choked female while children in vehicle

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Thursday at approximately 7:30 pm Deputies responded to a domestic dispute that occurred in a vehicle on Hecker Road in the Town of Waterloo. Deputies arrested Joshua Clark, age 42 of Waterloo, for three counts of reckless endangerment in the 2nd, criminal obstruction of breathing, and harassment in the 2nd. It is alleged that Clark was involved in a physical domestic dispute with a female who was operating a vehicle Westbound on Hecker Road. Clark began to punch and choke the female which caused her to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the North side of the roadway striking a fence and multiple posts. The vehicle continued to spin out of control and re-entered the roadway crossing over in to the South shoulder. The female was then able to gain control of the vehicle. At that time, Clark exited the car and the female drove off. During the incident, there were young children in the back seat. None of the victims requested medical attention from the incident. Clark was arraigned at the Town of Waterloo Court where he was committed to the custody of the Sheriff in lieu of $5,000/$10,000. He is scheduled to re-appear on June 10th. A class “A” Order of Protection was put in to effect on behalf of the victims. Child Protective Services were also notified of the incident. Sheriff’s Deputies report that the investigation is continuing.
