On Thursday, May 19th the Seneca Falls Police Department reports that a bicyclist was struck at the intersection of Bridge Street and Water Street around 9:42 pm. Seneca Falls Police and Fire, as well as North Seneca Ambulance reported to the intersection to find that Robert J. Watkins, 55, of Seneca Falls crossed the intersection on his bicycle and crossed in front of a vehicle being operated by Ryan J. Smith, 30, of Seneca Falls. Smith struck Watkins, who failed to yield the right of way to the vehicle. Minor injuries were sustained by the bicyclist to the head and leg. He refused treatment. No tickets were issued to either party.
