The Ithaca Police Department is searching for answers in another shooting within the city limits. At approximately 10:17 pm Friday evening, officers reported to the area of South Corn Street and Cleveland Avenue for the report of gun shots fired. When officers arrived, they say they made contact with witnesses who saw individuals flee the scene on foot and by vehicle. The witnesses also say they heard multiple gunshots fired. Officers found several casings, and even found a vehicle parked near the 200 block of South Corn Street had been struck by gunfire and was damaged.No victims or suspects had been identified at this time. However, the investigation is ongoing. The Ithaca Police Department asks that anyone with information call 9-1-1, or dial (607) 272-3245 to provide a tip.
