The public hearing on Local Law #7 has been delayed.On Friday, the Seneca Falls Town Board met to discuss some of issues within the ongoing debate around the Seneca Meadows Landfill. The board immediately entered executive session, where topics related to the landfill were discussed. The board quickly came out of executive session and passed a resolution unanimously to postpone the public hearing regarding Local Law #7.Greg Lazzaro told FingerLakes1.com following the meeting that, “The Seneca Falls Town Board made a resolution to postpone the public hearing regarding the local law as we are in negotiations to amend the host agreement to address the concerns of the community.”The board will meet for their regularly scheduled meeting on June 7th, which will not include a public hearing on Local Law #7 as of tonight’s meeting.FingerLakes1.com will have more on this as the story develops.
