On Tuesday morning at 8:08 am, Penn Yan Village Police arrested Vincent J. Rosato, age 53 of Lerch Road in Penn Yan, for aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and speed in a school zone.Rosato was stopped for speeding in a school zone on Liberty Street in the Village of Penn Yan. Police followed Rosato in the posted 15 mph school zone at 28 mph while school was in sessions and while the amber school zone lights were flashing.A check of Rosato’s operating privileges showed that his license was suspended on 10/20/2015 for failure to pay NYS taxes.Rosato was arraigned in the Village of Penn Yan Court where he was remanded to the custody of the Yates County Sheriff on $500 bail or $1000 bond.
