A Shortsville teen was ticketed following an accident on State Route 96 on Monday evening around 7:49 pm. Deputies in Ontario County say that shortly before 8:00 pm first responders were called to the intersection of State Route 96 and County Road 8 in the Town of Farmington for a personal injury motor vehicle accident. A Shortsville teen, who is a minor, was operating a 2004 Honda Accord westbound on Route 96 when his vehicle rear-ended a 2006 Jeep Liberty, which was waiting to turn left onto County Road 8. The vehicle waiting to turn left was operated by Jessica R. Clark, 30, of Farmington, who complained of stomach pain following the accident.She was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital via Victor-Farmington Ambulance and the minor was ticketed for following too closely. Farmington Fire also assisted at the scene of the accident.
