On Sunday evening shortly after 10:30 pm, Penn Yan police arrested Amanda M. Vasconez of West Avenue in Geneva after a traffic stop for having a headlamp out on Liberty Street in Penn Yan.A check of Vasconez’s driving priveleges revealed that her license had been suspended since 2012 for several Scoff Law violations.Vasconez was also found to be in possession of five glassine baggies containing an unknown amount of heroin.She was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and a misdemeanor charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance.Vasconez was arraigned in Penn Yan Village Court and remanded to jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 fully secured bond.
