Waterloo man charged in domestic incident

On Saturday, April 30th at approximately 1:30 am police in Waterloo arrested a Waterloo resident on a variety of charges following a reported domestic altercation.Waterloo Police arrested Jacob M. Dixon, 24, of Waterloo for obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and unlawful possession of marijuana. Around 1:00 am police responded to Dixon’s residence for a reported domestic altercation between a male and female. When police arrived, Dixon intentionally interfered with the investigation and became physically confrontational with police before and while he was taken into custody.Police say when the investigation concluded it was determined Dixon did damage to property inside the apartment during the dispute with his girlfriend and he was found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana.He was arraigned in Tyre Town Court and was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 bail. He will appear in Waterloo Village Court at a later date to answer the charges. The female victim was awarded a class “A” order of protection, as well.
