A Canandaigua woman is facing a petit larceny charge after attempting to steal a chair while intoxicated from TJ Maxx. Roberta Taylor, 50, of Canandaigua was charged with petit larceny by Ontario County deputies following an incident, which she attempted to steal a chair. The chair was part of a three-piece furniture set valued at $299.99.She exited the store with the chair without attempting to pay for the item. It was later found that Taylor was intoxicated at the time of the incident and when she was arrested. She was arraigned in Canandaigua Town Court and remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 insurance bond.She will appear before Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
