Staten Island couple arrested in Seneca County

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on April 24th at approximately 8:00 pm a couple from Staten Island were arrested following a traffic stop. Deputies report that a vehicle was observed heading West bound on State Route 96, in the Town of Ovid, passing another vehicle on a solid line. Deputies stopped the vehicle and it was determined that the driver, Deveraler T. Mark, 70, of Staten Island was operating the motor vehicle with a suspended license involving 21 tickets on 12 separate dates. He was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, and improper passing. Deputies also report that upon further investigation the passenger, Miranda Mark, 56, of Staten Island reported that she knew her husband, Deveraler, had a suspended license. Deputies charged Miranda Mark for facilitating unlicensed operation in the first degree.Both were arraigned in Romulus Town Court and Deveraler Mark was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, and held on $5,000 cash bail, $10,000 Secured Bond. Miranda Mark was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, and held on $1,000 cash bail, and $10,000 Secured Bond. Both parties are to appear in Ovid Town Court on April 28th at 8pm.
