The Ithaca Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect or suspects, who could have been involved in a shooting at the West Village apartment complex. Police say that they responded to the report of shots fired around 11:53 pm on Wednesday night. When they arrived witnesses advised that they had heard the shooting but no suspect or information could be confirmed. As officers investigated and canvassed the area, they confirmed that no identity or information could be validated. Police did find shell casings on the street, which confirmed that shots had been fired.
