Trumansburg man charged in violent domestic dispute

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Trumansburg man is being held without bail after an investigation into a violent domestic dispute. Deputies say Don P. Sipp, 40, of Trumansburg was arrested following a domestic incident that occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday. Sipp allegedly attacked the victim, by cutting their throat and face in a violent incident. The victim was treated initially at Cayuga Medical Center but was transported to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania for further treatment.Sipp was charged with assault in the first degreeintent to cause serious injury with a weapon, and assault in the first degreeintent to disfigure or dismember. He was arraigned in Fayette Town Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility with no bail. Sipp will appear in court on April 14th to answer the two charges.FingerLakes1.com will have more information on this story as it develops.
