A Seneca Falls woman is facing multiple charges in connection with the theft of more than $75,000 in unearned pay from her employer. While the name of that employer has not been yet identified, Troopers say that she was employed by a Geneva business.Crystal Norsen, 39, of Seneca Falls is accused of stealing money from that Geneva business for more than two-and-a-half years. She allegedly did so while she served as the office manager for the business. Troopers say she stole $75,000 by manipulating the company’s payroll. Investigators say that Norsen used her control over the company’s payroll mechanisms to give herself unearned bonuses, as well as extra payments, which were not authorized. She was charged with grand larceny in the second degree and falsifying business records in the first degree. Norsen was processed at the State Police headquarters in Canandaigua and arraigned in Geneva Town Court. She was released on $1,500 bail and will appear in court again on Wednesday.
