On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 4:35 pm two individuals were sent to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident at the corner of County Road 32 and Hickox Road. According to deputies, witnesses say that a vehicle operated by Victoria Klovstad, 18, of Canandaigua came to a stop for a signal on Hickox Road. Upon stopping the vehicle proceeding out and was struck by a truck being operated by John Bluhm, 65, of Canandaigua.Klovstad and Bluhm were transported to F.F. Thompson Hospital by Canandaigua Ambulance after complaining of back and leg pain. John McCauley, 18, of Shortsville was a passenger in the vehicle operated by Bluhm, but did not report any injuries. All involved were wearing a seatbelt and no airbags deployed, according to deputies. Klovstad was issued a traffic ticket for failing to yield the right of way. She will answer the charges in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
