Sodus man sent to hospital following accident in Seneca

At least one accident was reported in the Town of Seneca due to slippery road conditions, caused by the late-season winter weather here in the Finger Lakes.On Sunday at approximately 8:36 am the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office was called to a motor vehicle accident on Sutton Road in the Town of Seneca. Dalton Burns, 29, of Sodus was operating a 2004 Dodge pickup truck when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway and traveled down an embankment off of Sutton Road.Burns suffered facial injuries, according to deputies and was transported to Geneva General Hospital by Finger Lakes Ambulance where he was treated and released. The pickup truck was towed from the scene and Burns was issued a ticket for unsafe speed due to the conditions and failure to keep right.Seneca Castle Fire Department also assisted at the scene, according to police.
