CA man charged after domestic incident

A Canandaigua man is facing a number of charges following a domestic incident with a female, where he allegedly prevented her from leaving the premises and threatened her with a knife. The Canandaigua Police Department reports that on April 2nd Gary Zittel, 27, of Canandaigua was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, menacing in the second degree, and unlawful imprisonment in the second degree.He is accused of using a knife to threaten, and prevent a 24-year-old female from exiting the premises, as well as preventing her from calling 911 during a domestic dispute. Zettel was arraigned in Canandaigua City Court and remanded to the Ontario County Jail.
