On Wednesday at approximately 1:30 pm Emergency Agencies in the Farmington area were dispatched to a reported fire at 6171 Fawn Meadow in Farmington. The home owners, David and Michelle Pogoda, were at the scene of the fire.Mrs. Pogoda was home at the time the fire started. She stated that she noticed black smoke coming from the duct work within the house, gathered her child, and exited the residence. Investigation revealed that a failure in a dehumidifier was the cause. The majority of the basement was damaged but no one was hurt as a result of the fire.The Victor Fire Department, Farmington Fire Department, East Bloomfield Fire Department, Victor Farmington Ambulance, and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene.
