Early Friday morning around 7:30 am the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call reporting a single car motor vehicle rollover with entrapment on State Route 414 between Meads Hill Road and County Route 18. Investigation of the accident finds that Leeanne Eakin , age 32 of Pennsylvania, was traveling North on State Route 414 when her vehicle left the road striking a tree. Two children ages 11 and 9 were also in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Two patients were flown by Lifenet to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester and another was flown by Mercy flight also to Strong Memorial Hospital. All three were conscious and alert. The cause of the accident is under investigation. The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Beaver Dams Fire Department, Montour Falls Fire Department, and the Watkins Glen Fire Department. Schuyler ambulance and Rural Metro ambulance were both on scene as well.
