A Canandaigua man is facing assault charges following an altercation that left a woman with a head laceration Friday morning.The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday morning at approximately 3:39 am deputies arrested Alexander Kuras, 29, of Canandaigua for assault in the third degree, criminal contempt in the first degree, and aggravated family offense. Kuras allegedly pulled a Canandaigua female by her arm, which caused her to fall back and strike her head against his vehicle. The female victim suffered a head laceration. Deputies say the incident took place at the Thirsty Turtle on State Route 96 in the Town of Victor at about 11:40 pm on Thursday night.Kuras was transported to the Ontario County Jail for pre-arraignment detention and will have to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
