On Wednesday at about 11:00 am the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Steven L. Smith, age 47 of Waterloo, on charges of criminal nuisance in the 1st degree, a class E felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor. It is alleged that Smith allowed people to sell crack cocaine from his residence and received a benefit in return for allowing the people to conduct the activity. A search warrant was also executed by Sheriff’s Investigators and Sheriff’s Deputies which led to the seizure of a quantity of crack cocaine. Smith was released on an appearance ticket and is to appear in the Waterloo Town Court on April 13th at 5 pm.
