The Seneca Community Players is in their 44th season of bringing community theatre to the Seneca Falls area, and has announced the cast of their second production of 2016. The 39 Steps will be directed by TANYS Award Winning Eric Jansen of Clifton Springs, and will feature the talents of Steve Mitchell of Geneva as Richard Hannay; Lisa Rood of Cayuga as Pamela/Annabelle/Margaret; and the role of The Clowns will be portrayed by William Webster of Phelps, John Faylo of Seneca Falls, Craig Simmons of Shortsville, Jim Porto of Seneca Falls, and Charlie Manaseri of Seneca Falls. The award winning play is adapted from a novel by John Buchan, and film by Alfred Hitchcock. Director Jansen’s vision of the production is “Alfred Hitchcock meets Carol Burnett” and will feature the cast of seven actors portraying 150 characters throughout. Performances will be at the Douglas Avery Performing Arts Center, Mynderse Academy, 105 Troy Street, Seneca Falls. Times are 8 pm on April 29th & 30th, May 6th, & 7th. A 2 pm matinee performance will be on May 1st.
