Country Jamboree coming to The Smith

The national touring musical revue the Country Jamboree will come to The Smith Opera House on Friday, April 8, 2016.Take a trip through the golden years of country music with the Country Jamboree. Described as “a night at the Grand Ole Opry,” the performance features the music of Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Tammy Wynette, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and more, performed by a talented cast who have performed with some of country music’s most popular performers. The cast has performed with some of country music’s most popular artists. The music in the show runs the gamut from a poignant love song to an all-out hoedown — and everything in between. Look for plenty of costume changes, stage antics and even dancing.The Saddle Up All Star Band was formed in 2011 by bandleader Major McCain. Having been on the road with many acts over several decades, McCain was able to assemble a group of musicians that he had continuously crossed paths with at venues across the country. He also brought two female vocalists on board.
