The Ithaca Police Department reports that on Monday, March 14th officers arrested Jacob Rollins-Young, 17, of Ithaca for making a terroristic threat — a class D felony.The arrest stems from a threat made on social media, and the Ithaca Police Department reports that during the late-evening hours on March 14th the arrest was carried out. It stemmed from Facebook posts, which threatened the safety of Ithaca High School. The postings on Facebook suggested that Rollins-Young would carry out a mass shooting at the high school. Rollins-Young was arraigned in Ithaca City Court in front of Judge Wallace. He was released into the custody of a family member under the supervision of day reporting.
