Dundee man leads police on high speed chase

Early Friday morning the Penn Yan Police Department arrested Jamie J. Richardson, age 26 of Dundee, after he led police on a pursuit which ended on Shannon Corners Road in Dundee.Penn Yan Police attempted to stop Richardson on East Main Street after he failed to stop at a red light. Richardson then fled leading Penn Yan Police and Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies on a 12 mile high speed pursuit. The pursuit ended after police were able to safely disable the vehicle using a controlled pit maneuver on Shannon Corners road.Richardson was charged with felony DWI, passed a red signal, unsafe start, two counts speed in zone, reckless driving, no seat belt, five counts of failed to keep right, failed to stop at a stop sign, and four counts of no signal. He was arraigned in Penn Yan Village Court and remanded to jail in lieu of $2,500 cash $5,000 bond.
