SC Sheriff issues monthly snapshot report

Seneca County Sheriff Timothy Luce issued his monthly report for February 2016, which outlined and highlighted the action of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Department during the shortest month of the calendar year.Law EnforcementTotal Calls for Service: 1,224Total Arrests: 52NarcoticsNew Drug Cases: 13Total arrests: 19Corrections: Average Number of Inmates: 74Monthly Total Made for Boarding In: $46,116.00; Yearly Total: $89,981.52CIVIL: Total Summons/Complaints/Services: 63Total Income Executions: 14Total Evictions: 4Highlights of February:02/13/2016: An arrest was made in the MacDougall Sportsmen Club Burglary case. 02/19/2016: Two search warrants were executed simultaneously in Waterloo resulting in the arrest of two alleged Drug Dealers who were trafficking heroin and other drugs. Investigators also worked with Child Protection Services to assist the children involved. Drug Prevention Programs in schools, including D.A.R.E., are in full swing this month. The N.Y.S. Commission of Corrections had a representative on site for a week evaluating our Correctional Facility. At the conclusion we received a positive evaluation. One of the comments of the inspector was: “Cleanest Jail in the State.”This is a monthly feature put together by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.
