Waterloo teen jailed for criminal contempt

The Waterloo Police Department arrested a 17 year old male, who’s name is being held due to his age, for criminal contempt in the second degree. It is alleged that this male contacted a Village of Waterloo resident by phone several times at a time when there was an order of protection in effect prohibiting him from contacting the resident. The male was arraigned in the Village of Waterloo Court before Judge Struzik where he was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $750 cash bail of $1500 secured bond. The male will report back to the Village of Waterloo Court at a future date to answer the charge.
