Seneca Falls Women’s Coalition names Woman of the Year

The Seneca Falls Women’s coalition has tapped Susan Souhan as our Woman of the Year. Susan Souhan epitomizes grace, elegance and a can do attitude. She is never afraid to roll up her sleeves and pitch in where ever she is needed. She doesn’t have to wait to be asked. She just finds places where she can help and does. Susan was a partner with her husband George, in the Knitting Mills and Dairy. Since retiring Susan has tirelessly worked on many boards and local projects. She has worked every year on the homes for Habitat. Even when she was injured she didn’t slow down. Susan served many years on the Seneca Falls Historical Society Board. Every year she and her crew would decorate for the holidays at the Society. She helped decorate various homes on the museums house tour or worked her magic on flower arrangements for dinners and programs. Susan also helped plant, tend and maintain the flowers around the Seneca Falls Country Club, as well decorating the clubhouse. She is active in Art’s Council of Seneca County. She has served as an ambassador for many years at the National Women’s Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. She is extremely generous with her time, talent and financial resources. She is an amazing person who deserves this recognition. Susan will be honored March 12, 2016 at the Gould Hotel. Reservations are $35.00per person. There will be a Silent Auction, all proceeds from the evening goes to two of Susan’s favorite charities- Habitat for Humanity and the Seneca Falls Historical Society.
