Early College too much for ER in Class C1 Final

The Section V Class C1 top seed East Rochester saw their season come to an end at the hands of Early College for the third straight year as the Cobras ran away from the Bombers in the second half of the Sectional Championship game at the Blue Cross Arena early Friday evening. The final score, Early College 70, East Rochester 58.ER jumped out to a 7 point lead early in the first quarter before Early College stormed back to take a 36-34 halftime lead. The second half was all Early College who outscored ER 16-5 in the third period.Bryan Harrell Jr. was too much for the smaller ER defenders as he went for 20 points and 15 rebounds. Tajmin Holt had 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the Cobras who captured their second straight C1 championship.For East Rochester, ChaVez Gaines led the way with 23 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and three steals. Senior Kellen McDermott scored 13 points and pulled down 6 rebounds in his final game in a Bombers uniform.Coach Mark Michele is tired of seeing Early College in the postseason.
